Mr. Randon Olsen

I am a Utah guy through and through.  I spent my elementary years oversees in Beirut Lebanon, but since that time Utah has been home base!  I am a graduate of Wasatch High School in Heber City, then went on to earn my B.A. in Psycholoy teaching at BYU and completed a MAed in School Counseling through the University of Phoenix.

I spent 29 years with Provo School District working as a teacher and counselor at Dixon Middle School, then as the Work-Based Learning Coordinator at Provo High and ended my career there as the counselor at Independence High, the alternative high school for the district, a position that I enjoyed far more than I thought I would.

I am an avid scouter.  I never received my Eagle as a young man, but was awarded the Silver Beaver as an adult.  I feel that scouting and education go hand in hand with guiding young people through the whitewater years into adulthood.

I enjoy all things outdoors but can usually be found on my bike (cyclist, not biker!) While my wife does not share my passion for cycling we love exploring Utah on our ATV together!

I am so excited to part of the UCAS team and be a part of helping students get a jump on their college career and future dreams.
