Dr. James Hodson
Dr. James Hodson was born in Provo, Utah and raised in Orem, Utah. He and his wife have five children and a son-in-law.
Dr. Hodson spends time in Oregon most summers with extended family. In his free time, he enjoys sending time with his family, running, and drawing from life. He and his wife produce volumes of their visually rich family history together. He also works with his wife in assisting Family Illustrated Histories to produce coloring books as well. Dr. Hodson is enthusiastic about recording histories and will be assisting with the yearbook this year.
Besides teaching art courses for UCAS, Dr. Hodson teaches online drawing courses for Brigham Young University - Idaho.
Dr. Hodson has a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education from Brigham Young University. He has a Master’s degree in Instructional Education from American Intercontinental University. He also received his Doctorate of Educational Technology from Argosy University. Dr. Hodson has taught a variety of art courses for 18 plus years in public schools.
Dr. Hodson’s Philosophy of Education: "I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do (Leonardo da Vinci)." Don't be satisfied with the skills and abilities you currently have; develop more. Also, maintain those skills and abilities you have by using them on a regular basis, now and in the future, to build the people up that are around you.
