Before teaching at UCAS, Mr. Lowery taught math at Diamond Fork Jr. High in the Nebo School District, at UVU as an adjunct profressor in the Developmental Math Department, and for a private company specializing in helping UVU students complete Math 1050. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Math Education from BYU with a minor in Physics as well as a certificate in Computer Science from UVU. Mr. Lowery has long been interested in helping students of mathematics. While in college, he worked as a math tutor, a teaching assistant, and a research assistant in the Mathematics Education department. Mr. Lowery's dream from a young age was to be a math teacher (or a rock star) which to him are basically the same thing. Personal interestest include skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, electric guitar, and karaoke.
