Dr. Anna Trevino
Dr. Anna Trevino was born and raised in Ogden, Utah. She is married and has three grown children, three cats, and one awesome grandson!
In the summer, Dr. Trevino enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, and 4-wheeling. In her free time she likes to play with her three cats and read, but most of all she loves to work as a stained glass artist. She has made several stained glass windows for her home.
Dr. Trevino also enjoys learning about new cultures and likes to travel to new and exciting places. She enjoys scuba diving, snorkeling and swimming in the ocean!
Dr. Trevino has a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Weber State University. She has a Master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of Phoenix, and a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Brigham Young University. She also received her Doctorate of Educational Leadership from BYU. Dr. Trevino has taught as a Kindergarten teacher for 10 years, as a school Counselor for 10 years, and as an Administrator for 10 years. She has also worked as the Dean of Educational Leadership and School Counseling for Argosy University in Draper, Utah.
The most positive experiences that Dr. Trevino has had over the past 30 years of her educational career have been those at the Utah County Academy of Sciences (UCAS). She believes that one of the greatest strengths of UCAS is the amazing administration, faculty, staff and students that she works with each and every day. Working at UCAS has been a very rewarding experience where she has seen students excel in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
Dr. Trevino’s Philosophy of Education: I truly believe that: “You must be the change you want to see in the world” (Mahatma Ghandi). Dr. Trevino believes that as educators, we should provide students with learning opportunities they can use to become the future leaders of tomorrow. And that we are all student who should be life-long learners where we seize the opportunity to learn all that we can to be able to give back to our communities.
