• I have been teaching students English since 1998 and truly love watching and enabling the connections between people, ideas, and greatness.

I am happy to be here at UCAS after commuting a quarter million miles in the last thirteen years.

I'm happily married and have four married children. Originally from Southern California,  I moved to my husband's home town of Levan, Utah, shortly after we married, and that's where we stayed for 28 years.

I graduated from Snow College in Art,  then from BYU in English teaching (with art and choral minors), and from USU in Writing, Rhetoric, and Literature.

I love reading, writing, art, and singing.  I keep a blog,  watercolor, draw, create beaded jewelry,  do calligraphy,  and sing in choirs.  My favorite books, like my favorite songs, have a strong narrative quality and delicious words.

My first fandom was Peanuts.  Since then I have added Jane Austen, Harry Potter, Horatio Hornblower, and Firefly.  I have learned to embrace being a nerd.

I look forward to getting to know each of you and learning from you.
