The College of Science at the University of Utah offers several programs and opportunities for both you and your students. This biannual newsletter will keep you informed on what's happening with the College.

Early applicants can take advantage of more scholarship opportunities and priority housing applications.College of Science Advisors are available to talk to high school students about courses, prerequisites, and other questions about studying science and mathematics at the U. Students, parents, and teachers can reach out to get questions answered and to chat about getting ready for success at the U.Student Opportunities
Engineering DayThe event is FREE and is designed to introduce participants to a variety of engineering disciplines. Participants will have the opportunity to choose three different presentations or virtual tours.

Science Research Initiative (SRI)
The SRI offers every incoming College of Science student the opportunity to participate in scientific research. First- and second-year students tackle cutting-edge problems in dedicated research streams sponsored by local industries. No lab experience is expected - students will learn techniques directly from faculty and research mentors.Meet fellow science and math students, connect with college faculty, and create a community at the U. Scholarships are available!
Students can apply to the SRI after being accepted to the U, beginning on December 1.ACCESS Scholarship
Talented students with a passion for science, math, and/or engineering and an interest in advancing gender equity in the STEM disciplines are invited to apply to ACCESS after acceptance to the U. The application deadline is March 1. ACCESS is truly the start of a lifetime for any STEM major! This exceptional program has a 30-year record of success and boasts a network of over 800 alumni.Check out our virtual event schedule and register here.
