RELEASED TIME FOR STUDENTS
The Utah County Academy of Sciences (UCAS) does not endorse specific religious practices or doctrines.
Utah County Academy of Sciences, in accordance with Utah State Code (R277-610), permits release time from school during the regular school day for secondary students for the purpose of attending religious instruction classes given by a legally organized church. Procedures have been developed to ensure the appropriate scheduling and handling of released time classes, particularly in maintaining the distinction between regular school and released time classes, staff, and functions.
Students who are scheduled for released time must maintain the same standards of attendance and behavior in the released time activity as they are expected to maintain in the regular school program.
No school credit will be offered for this released time off campus instruction.
Transportation to this off campus released time instruction will be the responsibility of the student or his/her parent or guardians.
Students released for this off-campus instruction are not the responsibility of UCAS. They are the responsibility of the parents or the off campus instructors.
